Multiple callsigns in a shared database

Post by Pa0ply »

We have 3 computers running with a shared database.
We want to include another callsign using the shared database.
When I configure the new call sign on one computer, will it be possible to select this callsign on the other computers as well?

Hello Terry,

I used the clone function for the other callsign.
Changed the callsign in the Description and made a desktop link.
Then save and apply.

Sofar it works, however when I go to the Recent QSO’s I see the same QSO’s worked with the original callsign.
I thought it will also generate a new database just for the new callsign seperately from the other callsign log?
Is there anything I have to change as well?
I am using a MYQSL database.

Besides now I get a backlog file every time I close the program, while the backup function is off.
How to cancel this action?

Ahh,

The backup file is only generated when I use the desktop link.
When I start the program as usually, this backup file is not generated.

you could set a filter in recent QSO's to only list the station call sign of interest

Alternatively multiple databases

Terry,

Thanks for the quick answer.
I have asked for another MYSQL database, so we split those QSO more easily.
