constant crashing

Hi
Log4OM keeps crashing on me since update v2.36.1.0 on windows 11. I get maybe 5 mins use if I'm lucky. I have tried running as administrator but that didn't help. Any other suggestions that I can try?

What are you doing when it crashes, entering a qso, using QSO manager, in the middle of a QSO or what?

What other software is also running at the same time on that PC

sometimes it crashed on loading
sometimes it crashes whilst refreshing in qso manager
its crashed whilst adding a qso
it has also crashed whilst sitting idle whilst i'm on the interwebs
it just seems completely random

the only software running is the main stuff my pc runs at startup (steam, plex media server, qbitorrent, network time sync etc) and google chrome

Strange!

What version of windows are you using?

Did you let Log4OM install to the default locations?

Chrome sometimes causes issues with other software, I had to remove it to be able to run Da Vinci Resolve because Chrome is always working in the background even when the program is closed. Edge is much more reliable.

What happens if you turn or firewalls and anti virus?

C:\Program Files (x86)\IW3HMH\Log4OM NextGen I think thats the default
windows 11 unfortunately
the last time i used it it worked absolutely fine with chrome open and you're correct very strange behaviour considering i've been trying for 2 days previously to update my log and today i did it in 10 mins

oh! one other thing it did it erased all my config so i had to reconfigure everything in settings too

That is correct

windows 11 unfortunately
I have 3 PC's running win 11 and have no issues with any programs including a resources hungry CNC software.
the last time i used it it worked absolutely fine with chrome open and you're correct very strange behaviour considering i've been trying for 2 days previously to update my log and today i did it in 10 mins
What is the spec of your PC and I would dump Chrome

Please set the 'Log level' to 'TRACE' in Help/Log Level then next time it crashes EMAIl me a support request (Dont post it here) as detailed here https://www.log4om.com/generating-a-support-request/

Did you not have Log4OM set to do backups or use on of the configs saved in the 'Historic' backup file ?
