Out of Band Error?

Post by WA6CAL »

First let me say that this is my first experience with any logging program, and so far my experience has been very satisfactory. I think that once I familiarize myself with the nuances of the program it will be a wonderful tool for me.

I do have one issue that i need to clear up before I can continue - that is when I am on 80 meters or 40 meters (only) I get an erroneous "Out of Band" warning at times. It seems that the programmed valid upper limit on 80 meters is 3.8 MHz, and on 40 it is 7.2 MHz. If I am tuned to a frequency above those mentioned, the error appears. The frequency is being read correctly from the radio, but when the error appears the "band" entry in the QSO info field is grayed out and cannot be changed.

I feel this must be a configuration error on my part or everybody would be complaining of this problem, but I can't locate the source of the issue.

Thanks in advance for the help..... 73 - Joe

You have not set your IARU region correctly in the options/station info window

Setting the region lets Log4om select the correct bandplan for your location

Thank you Terry - that correction and a restart has resolved my issue.
