On CW I sometimes use TeamViewer to allow me to sit with the family and, using an iPad showing my station PC, keep an eye on the cluster in Log4OM. This allows me to double-click and QSY when I see something I "need", and then call without going back to the shack. It also works very well for data modes.
My question is:
As Log4OM can control the rigs frequency, can I set a random frequency rather than just double-clicking a cluster spot?
The rig is an FT-1000MP MkV and I'm using OmniRig
Thanks

Re: QSY when "remote"
Hi Chris,
Not at this time although it is planned to add a "Favourites" facility later.
Meanwhile you could use FLRig and a Virtual Serial Port emulator to provide rig control over team viewer
Try the Eterlogic VSP, create a "Splitter" with your physical com port as one end and any arbitrary port for the other end
Then set up FLrig and Log4om to use the splitter com port (whatever arbitrary port you decided on)
Now FLrig and Log4om can happily share the com port and everything will synchronise for mode band and freq
Hope this helps

Thanks Terry, that sounds like it would do the job nicely.
Thanks for the quick response!

Re: QSY when "remote"
Or you could use HamPort, which uses OmniRig, and if you are already using OmniRig to control your rig, no need for the VSE. HamPort is basic, it has a freq and mode display and allow you to change frequencies up or down, or change modes. You can also set up memories for changing bands. I have Log4OM start Hamport on program start. It works well.

Thanks Doug, I'll take a look at that.
