Set QSO End Time Button

Post by ng2d »

It would be nice to have an END QSO button that stops the clock and sets the QSO end time without logging the contact. A red button to the right of the End Time, similar to the red button next to the Start Time, would be perfect. I often add comments after signing with my contact. I have to add the QSO to the log to save the current end time, then edit it in order to add comments and make any other additions or changes.
Thanks for a fine application.

I would also like to see this feature added in a future version. I would also take advantage of it.

Thanks Bill!

Start and end time manually set means you need the "manual time" flag set...
in that way you can click the red button to fix the start time and then edit the end time (with pageUp and pageDown if needed) to reflect your needs...

btw there is an undocumented feature that set the current time when you right click on the start / end time in manual time mode...

Maybe this could help

Setting Manual time, then page up and page down sets both the start and end time together, as if the QSO lasted for zero minutes. This does not help at all thatI can see. I like to post the actual start and end time. Am I missing something?

Lets take this step by step

1. Check the manual time check box
2. Set the start time using the Page up and page down keys when you make contact with the other station
3. When you sign off with the other station right click on the end time field to set the end time

I have tested this works a minute ago and it works fine

Hi Terry,

have tested this many times when i have had ragchew contacts in CW. If a station comes back on my CQ or i come back on another ones CQ i check the "Manual Time" Box and the actual time will be frozen as start time. If the QSO ends i check the end time box and log the contact. It´s also possible to change frozen start time with the up-/dwn arrows.

That works very well for me :D :D
