Hi Folks, I am still running V 1.19 so do I have to install V1.20 then V 1.21 in that order? I saw here that .21 will over write .20 but not back to 1.19.
Also, after downloading where do I click to actually install ?

Re: Updates
Hi Andy,
download the latest version and do a normal installation without uninstalling V 1.19 ..... You have to install as administrator but uninstalling is not longer needed since v 1.19 .....
B.t.w. make a ADIF Backup of your log and also of your config files .... Normally the installation works fine without any issue but better to be on the safe side

73´s .. Juergen ... ALT-512 SDR (10W) , 50 m random wire at SG-211 autotuner, 2 x Xiegu G90 (20W HF TRX) one as portable Radio. Also TS-790E (40 W) for VHF/UHF with X-50 vertical and Duoband 4-Element LPDA.
Re: Updates
Juergen, thank you for the information. However I just tried the install twice and failed. After many clicks to get to the install a notice came up that the update was unable to over right certain files. It asked me to chose between IGNORE OR ABORT, Not being sure of the situation I clicked on abort.
At this time I will stay with V 1.19 as it works fine for me.
Tnx. Andy, W3LI

Re: Updates
I wonder that the installation wan´t work and i never have seen this message when installing Log4OM. But o.k. i am updating from the latest former version to the next Beta and up to the actual stable releases .....
Would be a chance to backing up the configuration files and the complete log as ADIF. Then uninstall the former version of Log4OM and make a brandnew installation. If something going wrong with the configuration and the log you can copy the config files into the configuration folder and importing the ADIF to get your log back.
Only an idea but let´s see what Lele or Terry can tell us about this problem you have ...

Re: Updates
Hi,
Juergens suggestion is a good one and you might also try a fresh download just in case you have a corrupt download

For what it's worth -- I had the same problem with an initial installation of 1.21.0 on a Win 8.1 laptop. It would not install and indicated it couldn't find the path ...Roaming/LogOM/Log4OM_enu.pdf
I finally installed the 1.20.0 version with no problems and then 1.21.0 installed OK.

The path it was looking for was to the user manual and we have had this issue for some time!JayDubya wrote:For what it's worth -- I had the same problem with an initial installation of 1.21.0 on a Win 8.1 laptop. It's an easy thing to overcome, just uncheck the download user guide check box that appears during the install sequence.
You can download the user guide after the install from the help menu or direct from the web site.
I recommend that you install version 1.21 as soon as possible because there are some important updates in that version.
Don't need to uninstall the old version just install straight over the top
