They're sharing the same reference codes?
What is the award you want to be updated?
Is the "old" WFF still operative/in use?

The old WWF ceased in 2012 and was recreated as Worldwide Flora and Fauna Award (WWFF)

So

WFF is dead

WWFF lives today and its the one we use

I've found the complete and up-to-date reference here:

preparing the update package...

As far as I know there is only one WWFF (World Wide Flora & Fauna Award).
What we have been asking about to be updated are the Australian Parks that are part of this Award.
Several new parks were added to the award in VK5 and VK3 earlier from about VKFF-743 to VKFF-832
The last ones I asked to be added were VKFF-833 thru to VKFF-865 which were from VK1.
The VK range should now be from VKFF-001 to VKFF-865.
Many different countries will have their own range of codes.

I have v1.22.0.0 but when I look at the External file information under About Log4OM, the award update date is 29/01/2015.
I thought the awards updated automatically.
Is there any way to tell if you have the latest update for the awards?

I performed a manual update on the awards database and the following errors appeared in my log. It seems the award_WFF.xml.gz update file is not on the server as I could not access it through a browser either.

You are correct, I just looked at the server and the file is not there, just the xml file, so Lele must have forgotten to upload it

As an interim measure you can download the xml file from my dropbox here

https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/549 ... rd_WFF.xml

Then in the awards manager use file/import to import it

Thanks for the file, Terry.
It installed fine with Award Manager.
There are three errors in the file.
ONFF-0306 and ONFF-0312 should have their DXCC set to 209 rather than 0.
There is an extraneous entry to REFERENCE which should be deleted.
I have made the corrections and uploaded the file for anyone interested:

The new awards file seems to have 4 digit park references throughout. A lot of the references have had a leading zero added to the reference number as most had 3 digits previously eg. VKFF-553 became VKFF-0553.
What brought this about? Was it a request from the WWFF organisation?

The change is not backwards compatible. For example, in the Statistics and awards screen when previous contacts are listed, all existing references in the log (eg. VKFF-553) are shown in red and listed as NOT FOUND in the description.
Exporting a log with zero-prefixed WWFF reference number may also cause processing problems when submitting logs to the WWFF organisation.

Unless this was a request from the WWFF group, I think the numbers should revert to 3 digits.

Gerard - VK2IO
