I can confirm this behavior with my K3/P3 system as already described by Gary. I would be very interested in any solution of this item.
With help from Garry K9DJT I am investigating this issue, more news later

Same problem on K3. Go to settings and uncheck the box "cat will set mode when following spot". It fixed it for me.

Well, that helped as long as you stay on one mode. LSB and USB switch correctly for the proper bands and the filters in the K3 stay on the SSB filters. However, you have to manually switch between modes... Before doing this, switching from 20 meters phone to 40 meters phone stayed on USB. A double click went to LSB on 40 with the CW filter.

Are you connecting the K3 direct or with a P3 or Win4Ksuite?
Is your region selected correctly in the options/station info tab
BTW I have removed your veterestorer account, you don't need two and its best to use your call sign as a user name so that we can provide appropriate assistance based on your location.

Yes using a P3 and the region is set correctly. I'll take the P3 out of line and test again.

Terry,
Thank you. I was using Hamlib. Works fine with Omnirig except for CW reverse -- which I have been reading about on the forum.

The CW reverse thing is an error in the Omnirig k3 file, just edit it with notepad
