Are you certain that you are running Log4om with administrator priveledges?
What is your default internet browser, Google Chrome is causing many issues with Windows 10 I had to start using the new Windows Edge which actually turned out to be very good!

Re: Win 10
I've switched back to Windows 7 SP1, and all is well.
Windows 10 has been a train wreck for me.
The problems in Log4OM were minor compared to other problems (all of which went away when I came back to 7).
I'll wait around for Win 10.1.

Re: Win 10
To expand on my last post regarding Win 10.
The problem I had in Log4OM was not related to the Chrome browser. To try to fix the issue, I made my default browser MS Edge. It had no effect on the issue. I also tried IE 10 and IE 11. No change.
Other programs (N1MM+, the contest logger) gave me "Permission denied" when I tried to access their Help functions, which are web pages online. Changing browsers had no effect.
Some programs would puke and die shortly after launch, programs which are bullet-proof under Win 7. I tried various "compatibility" settings to no avail.
Other programs (even when run as administrator) such as MS Excel and MS Word could not save to their usual directories --- "Access Denied".
My computer is not bleeding edge, but is quite capable --- an I7 multi-core processor running at 3.2 GHz, 8Gig of RAM, plenty of rotating memory, and a solid and fast internet connection.
After QSYing back to Win 7 all my problems have disappeared.
The online MS Support forums are crawling with problems similar to mine, and the "fixes" suggested mostly do not work.

Hans,
That's realy weird, all of my friends have upgraded to 10 and so far no issues and everyone loves it,
There is one guy that had issues downloading but his internet connection keeps failing so that was probably the cause.

Hello Hans
Well, as Terry says, really weird. All my proggys work very well under my windows 10 X64 no_nb. including MS office 2013 and all my hamradio software collection including N1MM. The only issues I have is With Log4OM, One of the the short dates dont work (dd.MM.YYY) (no dates in Log4OM date column). But d.MMM.YYYY works. The other issue is the Solar data info (shows K:0 A:0 SFI:0 Sunspot:0 not a problem since I use other alternatives. I use Firefox 40.0.2 browser. Never seen any "Permission denied". Did you do a Windows 10 update from Windows 7, or a clean install ? I did a update from Win 8.1 But since Im a fan of clean installs, I reformated and installed Windows 10 from scratch. But the small issues with Log4OM is still here. But Im happy camper

Re: Win 10
Here too .... All running well under Win10 after the upgrade.
Anybody here who has not upgraded ??? You may use the "Microsoft Media Creation Tool" to force the update manually (use Google to find it) .... After the "Uprade this PC" you may download the "Magical Jelly Bean Keyfinder" to find out the serial number of your personalized Win10 ....
Then you can use the Media Creation Tool again to crate an ISO to burn it on a DVD or a bootable USB Stick for a later "clean install" ..... For this the serial number is required
B.t.w. for the activation of a "clean installed" Win10 (after the update and key reading) you should have to wait for a week or more. The reason ist that the upgraded Win 10 is only for your hardware. The hardware profile will be saved on the MS servers and crosschecked b4 the activation of a "clean istallation" will be verified ....
I love the new Win 10 ....

Re: Win 10
The HWID activation went fast after the clean install, just 2-3 hours in my case.

Re: Win 10
Hi Rolf,
that´s the normal way but my info is from MS himself ... If the servers are quick it´s better for a clean installation. My reason was to show how can a manual updgrade be started and the things you have to do after the upgrade was o.K. (Keyfinder e.g.) ....

Hi Hans,
what is your DEFAULT browser?
If it's not EXPLORER, can you try setting Explorer as DEFAULT browser and retry?
There are other similar threads on the net with the same error you have and all points to how Windows handles URL's
