yt9tp wrote: There is a bug in manual time entry: if you change start time it does not adjust end time accordingly so you can end up with very strange QSO duration. My personal preference would be to disable end time field as I do not need it at all.
That would be my personal preference, also. I very seldom use end time. A check box next to ending time in the manual date entry field (like in the QSO Info window) would be a nice option. Another nice feature would be to have the QSL Received option in the top window next to the QSL Sent dropboxes.
yt9tp wrote: If I get some free time I might do some small application specialized for quick reentering data from paper logs directly into Log4OM.
That would be a good. It would be nicer to have it integrated into the Log4OM program, though. I find entering QSOs manually into Log4OM tedious, having to jump back and forth between the different tabs, setting end times, having to go to a QSO edit dialog to set the QSL Received field, etc. A table/matrix format would be nice, where all the main info is in one window and can be tabbed and or arrow-keyed to. The method of setting and auto increment and using page-up for setting time isn't always useful to me, as I don't necessarily go down a log page with continuous QSOs. Last night, I was entering some info from QSL cards that I had received, and they times and dates varied a lot between them, so everything had to be entered bit-by-bit. (I wanted to get all my confirmed info into Log4OM for tracking awards.)

Daniele & the Team, don't get me wrong - Log4OM is a great program. These are just some suggestions from a new user.

Thanks & 73,

I use Log4OM to enter my QSOs after the fact, mainly due to most of them take place whilst being portable.
I was looking at recent QSO tab & when I look at the QSOs I see the end date is todays date, not the date I entered the QSO on.
I check the manual time box when I enter the data & usually set the end time +30sec (or more if the contact is longer.
Is todays date supposed to be in the recent QSO listing as end date or a bug?
I did notice this when I first started entering previous QSOs that the end date was the current date & actually changed some at the time, but now I am looking several days after I last entered anything & end date is current date. There is no provision to enter an end date. This could be needed if the QSO takes place close to midnight.
I have over 1200 QSOs in my old paper log but doubt whether I will be able to enter them into Log4OM

Hi David,
if you're talking about the date shown here:

if the field is grayed out, the current date is only "fictional". Will be made actual only if you enable the checkbox. If not set, no date is saved in the log.

In order to add manually you should have this set of informations:

It's really strange that you have qso date off set to your log. Can you send me some more informations/screenshot?
you were loading QSO from scratch or using a previously imported ADIF?

I am entering manually as I previously only used paper logs.
The end dates are greyed out & not ticked so all OK I suppose.
