Sorry for all this mess...
I downloaded the 2.10 portable version zip file from the webpage, and extracted it to my download folder(telechargement en French).
I ran the exe, and now, all the files are there.
I then launch the program, supposedly portable version, from that folder, and as indicated several times, the word portable does not show on the header, contrary to what Juergen keep telling me.
If it is really a portable version, why doesn't the word portable appear, as indicated by Juergen ?
If it is a normal version, then I have 2 versions running simultaneously.

In both cases, the situation contradicts what you are all telling me.

My problem is : I downloaded the latest 2.10.0.0 portable zip version, extracted it to c:\download\ so the subfolder in there now shows
as you can see in the attachment.
Inside that Log4OM2_2_10_0_0_portable folder, there is a subfolder called Poratble, and inside trhat subfolder, the is a file called L4ONG.exe. Is this file supposed to launch a portable version ? If so, well it does not.

That said, my problem is I had a folder called Log4OM2_2_9_0_0_portable, from where I launched Log4OM (and nobody can tell which version, supposedly portable but that word does not show in the actual program header once launched), with my F6EXV profile. Everything worked fine, while I had another instance running simultaneously for F4KMA (my club callsign)
After installing the 2.10 version, I just need to recover my 2.9 config and my F6EXV log in there !

The whole thing works fine on my F4KMA callsign right now. But untill this mmorning, I had both in version 2.9 working very well and SIMULTANEOUSLY.

on TOP BAR you can see the current PROFILE NAME. Usually we recommend to name it "PORTABLE" + eventually something else to be able to identify the correct session when working with multiple instances. There is no other difference, as the program is the same. You should know what profile you have placed in your portable setup.

You have unpacked in your download folder, so it's supposed to run anywhere.

It's a normal version not installed following windows installation processes. You may have 1 installed instance running and infinite portable versions coming from other folders running at the same time. Concurrency and correct usage is up to you.
In both cases, the situation contradicts what you are all telling me.
Why?

Yes, the standard packing structure of the portable version has a /portable folder in it, to avoid users to expand Log4OM and all related files directly on their desktop

How the folder is called is up to you. I suggest to not call the folder with the version number, as it may create confusion.
Copy all the files of your 2.9 inside another folder (in a better place than download) called THIS IS MY PORTABLE VERSION then overwrite all files with files from 2.10

Make a copy of your previous folder, as security measure.
