easiest way to remove "dupe" qso's ??

today I discovered that I have a large number of "dupe" contacts in my log. I have no idea how long they have been there, nor do I know exactly how they got there. Now that I know they exist, I would like to remove them. I have put "dupes" in inverted commas, because technically they are not exact dupes of the entries that are correct. All of these "dupes" have the mode logged as ASCI whereas the correct entries have the mode RTTY.

Would someone kindly suggest to this old brain the correct and easy way to remove all of these entries from my log.

thanks in advance

Are you sure that it's only the dupes that have the mode as ASCII? If so the solution is easy

Sort on mode for all QSO's where "Mode" equals "ASCII"

Once you have a list which only contains the dupes delete them

More help please Terry. No matter what I do, I seem to be unable to delete more that one at a time. I have used QSO Manager, QSL Management and the Recent QSO windows,.... In all 3, I am able to set up the search parameters, find all the contacts, and highlight all of them but I cannot find a mass delete option and right clicking deselects all but the line right clicked on.... What am I doing wrong ??? There are just over 4000 ASCI entries, and I have checked quite a few and they are all dupes.

1. QSO Archive manager
2. Check the "Enable update" and "Enable removal" boxes as shown below
3. Select the QSO's to be removed
4. ON YOUR COMPUTER KEYBOARD - PRESS THE "DELETE" BUTTON
