In another part of the forum (http://www.pisto.it/forum/viewtopic.php?f=6&t=1363) I recently learnt that in order for the frequency lock padlock to actually work, and to have the frequency I type in recorded in my log, I have to first click 'Suspend Cat reading" in 'Settings'. However, if I click the MODE lock, I do not need to "suspend cat" for the selected mode to be recorded.

I would like to see these lock buttons work as a "lock" without having to go to other parts of the programme to disable other settings.

Hi John,

I agree with you. The suspend CAT feature (as I recall) was added due to the fact that you could not "lock" the frequency for manual QSO input. Well, you could, but CAT would quickly change it back to the rig frequency. So your point is well taken. If the program can make the mode immune to CAT update when locked, why can't the Frequency input have the same behavior?

So the Suspend CAT feature works, but it seems klunky (highly technical term!) that the mode and Frequency do not have the same behavior.
