Almost every morning on 20m CW I see this one guy working on his own frequency and spotting all the stations he makes contact with (on his own frequency). This guy I see almost every morning doing it, but there are others who are faulty of this creative way of self-spotting, too. How I wish I could simply black list these spotters and never see another spot by them in the cluster ever again, LOL

You can block spots from a specific call sign it just depends on what cluster you use

If using the AR cluster you can add this filter in the AR cluster setup program

If using VE7CC you can set the filter by using the CC User setup software

If using a normal DX Spider cluster then you can send a filter command from the Log4OM cluster connection screen to your chosen cluster and once set the filter it will be active until you clear it - See here for a list of DX Spider cluster filter commands

We don't include these types of filters in the program because they are readily available from the cluster providers so there is no point in duplicating them!

You can add any specific DX Spider filter commands to the Log4om cluster command list - Go to Options/Select configuration - Check the "Enable expert mode" box and choose "Cluster commands" - Edit the text file and save it

One Call .... F8DGY .... I sending him so much mails that he should stop this kind of self spottings but he answeres "I do what i want" .... Would be nice to have a feature like that but i think it will be only possible if you are registered member of the cluster you use in L4O and the clustersite himself has the option to block callsigns like this ....

reject/spots by w3lpl

(or whatever the actual callsign is)

It works and I'm a happy camper now. I did consider writing to the "offender", just like Juergen did, but at the end I decided against writing because I suspect the people who do this sort of "spam" would likely NOT be open to what I would tell them. Changing my software is a more effective way of dealing with the issue than trying to change what other people do.

Juergen, do as John suggested, or pick one from Terry's solutions. Alternatively, you could modify the LOG4OM's logon script by adding a single line to it.

My logon script now looks like the following (this is just an example to show you can block multiple callsigns):
