Set Mode Default

I am running Log4om stand-alone, without a radio connection. When Log4om strts, it assumes I am running SSB. Is there a way to change the default to CW?

It *should* save the latest mode used, but this worked a lot of releases ago...
i will check if this function is still working as expected
