Log4OM with new Yaesu FT-991 settings???

Hi,
I am the proud owner of a new Yaesu FT-991 rig which I would like to use with Log4OM v 1.20.0.0.
I prefer to use "Hamlib" for the CAT connection as it seems to work more reliably with previous rigs for me.
My question is...what is the nearest existing "RIG Model" to use? OR how do I write a file with the correct parameters?
(I do know a bit about computer programming so that side of it doesn't faze me.)
Any help much appreciated (and would be pleased to supply the solution to any other FT-991 owners).
Peter, G3ZPB, GB1BM.

Peter,
I am already looking into this for another user but it will be CAT using Omnirig

Give me a couple of days to sort it out

Hi Terry,
OK, thanks.
I'll wait.
First big operation will be "Marconi Day" on 25th April (although, of course, I want to make sure everything is 100% before then).

Peter,

Please try the attached ini file – Unzip to your C:\……\Afreet\Omnirig\Rigs folder

Please let me know how you get on

Please note: neither I nor any member of the Log4OM development team take any responsibility for any problems caused by this file

Hi Terry and others,

3 things on the FT-991...
1> I can't make "OmniRig" communicate with my "ZLP RS232 CAT" interface so I have been unable to test Terry's new file  .
2> I have successfully used "Hamlib" with the "Yaesu FT-2000 0.22.1 Stable ¦ 129" rig file and my "ZLP RS232 CAT" interface and it is 100% successful, even reading frequencies in the 2m, 70cms and Airband that are beyond the frequency range of the FT-2000 and therefore require an extra digit!!! - I call that a result!! :D
3> My own call sign is G3ZPB although most of the use of Log4OM is at the Museum Station GB1BM.
To save future confusion, I'll revert to my my previous login/UserName of G3ZPB.

Thanks for your help guys, I consider this user closed and successful at this stage.

Peter, G3ZPB, GB1BM.

Hello,

I am still having issues trying to the FT-991 CAT control to work with Log4OM, I can get the frequencies to change in Omni-Rig but Log4OM does not seem to pick it up. The CAT control light on the bottom right keeps flashing green and red over and over. I am using a USB cable to connect the radio to the computer and will be trying a Serial cable shortly to see if that works.

Thank you

Mauro,
I think most of our users are using Omnirig and I also think the serial connection
