Settings won't accept a callsign?

Just installed to try out and not got very far!
I put my callsign in (also tried several others I know, including G4POP !) and the box stays red and it doesn't keep anything.
What's wrong?

OK I did solve it by putting my callsign in all the boxes and setting the country (as I did before) but clicking the disk icon.
The call staying red is counter intuitive, and not like the user manual where it is white, or like the locator box which DOES turn from red to white once entered, which is good. But I would expect the callsign to do that, or mention in the guide..
