No I'm not running them as administrator. Also my bad the error says OMNIrig installed incorrectly. I have tried to reload everything reboot the computer no luck everything was working perfectly prior to the up grade..

Make a backup

Uninstall Omnirig and Log4om

Restart your computer

Turn off any antivirus and firewall programs

Download the latest version of Log4om (V 1.23)

Unzip the download file

Install Log4om by right clicking the install .exe file and selecting "Run as Administrator"

During the install select the option to install Omnirig

Let me know how you get on

Thanks for the tip. I did it and still same results. That's the 3rd time I have deleted every thing and rebooted the computer and still get the error stating "omnirig improperly installed". Is there any thing else I can try??

Go download the latest version of Omnirig and try installing it without uninstalling anything

I went back to an older ver. and everything works as it should. I don't know what the problem is with the new ver. and OMNIRIG but I couldn't make work on my system. So I'll wait for the next update. and see how that works. Thanks for a great program and support Jesse WB4PPW

Jesse the answer to your problem is in the question that Terry asked if you are running Log4OM and Omnirig with administrator rights.

You need to set both programs executables to have administrator privileges.

As you answered in the negative for both programs you need to install both programs again.

Find "C:\Program Files (x86)\Afreet\OmniRig\OmniRig.exe" and right mouse click on OmniRig.exe.

Then select the compatibility tab and check "Privilege Level" ... "Run this program as an administrator".

For good measure click "Change settings for all users" and then "OK".

Do the same for "LogOMUI.exe" in the Log4OM folder.

Then start Omnirig first and set the correct Rig and port.

Start Log4OM go to configuration and the "Cat & Cluster tab and select Omnirig and save.

Everything should be Ok now ... if not select the "Cat connection" icon (earphones) on the top in Log4OM and make sure all parameters are correct.

If still nothing the problem is with your rig and PC not talking to each other ::: come back to the forum in that case ...

Hope this helps.

Thanks for the tip. I have tried what you suggested several times and no joy. It's strange that everything works FB with earlier version of the LOG40M program. I never had a problem with previous updates. However, just for grins I'll try again need something too keep from boredom since the bands are so crappie and no new DX that I need on anyway.
