Log4OM

Hi, just installed the new version as an upgrade over 1.23 and it wont run. Running Win 10 and new version comes up but is grated out and top of form says not responding. Can I revert back to 1.23, it worked great?

Yes you can but it sounds like one of the following

1. A bad download - Download again

2. You failed to install with administrator privileges - Right click on the installer .exe and click "Run as an administrator"

3. A bad install - Install again as an administrator in 2 above

Thanks Terry, I downloaded again and reinstalled. Looks like it is running Ok. Omnirig is running but icon not shown with programs at bottom of screen? Is this a change?

Omnirig doesn't have an icon, as far as i can remember...

Omnidirectional would always show up as a running program next to Log4om icon along with all the other programs running at bottom of screen. I didn't see it so tried to start omnirig and computer reported already running. Not a big thing, it was just different. Guess it's running in background.

Boy do I feel dumb. I was thinking of the Log4om Communicator. Computer said it was running and cat services are working but icon not present with other running programs. Sorry about the confusion.

You should have it in the system tray, bottom right side of the main desktop.

I re-booted and started Log4OM again and all is well. Thanks for a great program and all of your hard work. Merry Christmas and HNY.

Seasons Greetings! I did the upgrade also and it works no worries under Win 10 but what I did lose was the SOTA, IOTA etc strings that put the colour highlights into the cluster. Can you give me the strings again for them all and I will add them back in...and is there a way of saving those?

I can confirm this issue .... No highlighted comments in the cluster window when a IOTA/SOTA e.g. is spotted. Have seen this problem yesterday when i worked a SOTA station and send a spot with the SOTA reference
