"An error has occurred in the script on this page "

When I click "Lookup" after entering a call sign, this error message pops up"
"An error has occurred in the script on this page," then I have to click YES or NO
to continue so that the station's QRZ page appears.

How do I solve this error? It just started happening for no reason - all was well previously.

My PC: Win7 64 bit

Thanks, Steve ZL2KE

Hi Steve,
I assume you refer to the 'Lookup' button shown in this screenshot?

How are you entering the call sign, by double click on a cluster spot or by typing it into the call sign field of Log4OM

log4om opens a web browser inside itself, in the browser screen.
This error comes from the web page, and the error is generated from the browser that doesn't run correctly the scripts on the page.

I'll check if i can suppress those errors, but it's something not related to the software itself.

Hi Lele,

Here is a screenshot of the error:

Is the web browser IE that Log4OM uses?

I found this: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/183808
...but I have Win7 and apparently the solution is not for Win7 - and I cannot find a Microsoft solution for Win7.

Thanks for your help.

Hi Terry,

Yes that is the Lookup button (with a Personal Website button to the right).

I enter the call sign at the top left corner, not via a cluster spot.

it's a tracking cookie from google that causes some troubles on the internal browser. The message comes from Explorer.
I will provide soon an option (right click, probably) to open those links in the real browser instead of the internal one, that is a "piece" of internet explorer.
This could fix the issue, due to the less sophisticated browser included in .NET libraries.

Thanks Daniele. :)
I hope that your right click solution will keep Log4OM on the screen and not open a browser in a new tab or window.

right click on a button doesn't work as i want. I have added a small flag near the 2 buttons that says: "open in external browser".
Until this checkbox is checked, every link will be opened outside (QRZ/personal website)
