Deleted/Changed Countries

I am adding in my old paper logs from 1980 onwards.
How do I deal with countries that have either been deleted or changed when entering them into Log4OM?
eg East Germany was a separate DXCC then, but Log4OM now puts it under Fed Republic of Germany. A Yugoslavia contact is now listed as Serbia, Also I think some pacific islands might be different now but I can't find an example offhand.

The problem here is that there is no ARRL DXCC code for East Germany. All contacts are treated as Federal Republic of Germany.

I added thousands of old paper QSL cards to my Log4OM database. After adding a QSO with a deleted country, I edited the QSO again. The Country dropdown list on the Update QSO screen will also show deleted countries. DXCC code 229 is shown for the German Democratic Republic.

Probably easier to add all QSOs with deleted countries, then correcting Country and DXCC fields with a mass update.
