At present (v 1.30), the lookup of call data from QRZ and the check for past contacts appears to happen sequentially, so that the "worked before" indicator is not shown until the lookup of call data completes. If one has a slow internet connection, this can take several seconds - time either to unintentionally start a duplicate QSO, or to miss an opportunity while one is waiting to see whether one has worked the station before.

It would be nice if these operations could be done in parallel, so the "worked before" flag is shown immediately, even if the QRZ data lookup has not yet completed.

It's a small issue. As a new user I am on the whole VERY impressed - THANK YOU!

If your in a situation where speed of knowing about dupes is of importance like in a competition, then I suggest that you turn of the QRZ lookup if you have a slow connection.

You can always do a bulk lookup and edit at some later time to fill the missing data.
