Log4OM

Hi all,

Today when going to use Log4OM somthing rather strange happened! first time I ran it, my entire computer froze and upn restarting and opening Log4om again I get an error saying "Default culture applied" then when I press ok it comes up with the config screen and wont let me close out of it presenting me with another error saying "Warning: string loading is not avalable for language en-US. Please report to the author".

Are you running Log4OM as a Administrator? If you're not please do so and you will be ok.

Yes I am running in administrator mode, no change

Did you try a restart of your computer?

Had you installed any new hardware or software recently or done a Windows update?

Hi Terry,

Yup Computer restarted several times over the past few days and no major changes that I can think of. My temporary work around is using the portable version as that seems to still be working fine.

All I can suggest is a fresh install with a fresh download and see if that resolves it.

BTW I always use the portable version for my personal logging and a full install for testing the issues that you guys get

Windows 10? What languages are installed? Log4OM runs in en-US and it-IT.
Try to install "Engllish (United States)" aka "en-US" as 2nd language in Settings > Time & Language > Region & Language.

Current "culture" can be seen in a PowerShell console:

PS C:\Users\markus> Get-Culture
LCID Name DisplayName
2055 de-CH German (Switzerland)

PS C:\Users\markus> Get-UICulture
LCID Name DisplayName
1033 en-US English (United States)
