Where does cluster mode come from?

I know this has been talked about but after about 20 minutes of searching I could not find it.

I thought I remembered it was based on some sort of band plan?

Trying to figured out why a CW station on 7032 would be spotted as CW and the one on 7036 would be spotted as digital.

Is there a user editable file somewhere? Its probably right under my nose but cant find it.

yes, there is a folder called bandplan in your settings folder.
Currently is reading your country settings instead of the IARU zone reported in the settings screen itself, reading it from COUNTRY file instead of the IARU region field, we fixed that in the upcoming version.
We get "emission type" based on bandplan, and bandplan is selected by IARU region, as said, and overrided by specific DXCC countries.
I suggest also to update country file. Update is weekly but we changed it 2 days ago so it's better to have it aligned.

I should also add that spots with a mode listed in the Notes field, will use that mode, regardless of band plan. This is how we can set FT8, FT4, RTTY and CW modes when they are all in one section of the bandplan.
