Hi I don't know if this question has been asked before,
I'm using Hamlib, on LOG4OM V2 an under Hamlib connections, Cat Management Rig model list, there doesn't seem the be a listing for the IC-7300 or the IC-9700
the two radios I use, is there a compatible one to use ?? Any Suggestions Please.. Thanks G4YBI..

My advice is to use Omnirig because
Over the last 15 years I have never found Hamlib support for Icom radios to be any good
Omnirig has configurations for the 7300
Omnirig allows you to connect two radios and easily switch between them
Omnirig supports bot vfo's on your Icom, Hamlib does not
Do I need to go on?

Hi, i such same information if v2 work with IC-7300&9700. I can't test now but in v1 worked IC-7100 (i have too) as omnirig set without problems. OmniRig v1, v2 from Swiss worked no more with Log4OM v1, after back to OmniRig v1. Please test OmniRig&HamLib with 7300&9700 and give here resume. Thanks&73!

The problem is the V2 from swiss which provides 4 transceivers. Latest Omnirig from the original
author works fine (but only 2 TCVR´s). Omnirig V2 (from swiss) has some changes and we have
seen in the alpha phase that this one makes problems. So Omnirig from Afreet Software is the
rule and not V2 from HB9xxx.
By the way, i prefer Omnirig instead of Hamlib too. No problems at all in the years of using Log4OM V1,
the latest V2 alpha and beta versions. Have had no problems which connect to each TRX i´ve had in the
past. Simply some problems with modes are reversed but in Omnirig you can change this by manual work
and V2 have options to reverse moses by checkbox.

Hi All, Many thanks for all your replies .....
I'll try and reply to you all in one post if I can..
First of all I've never had any problems with LOG4OM-V1 using Hamlib and the communicator, with WSJTX and JT Alert and logged all ok,
so installed LOG4OM-V2, ( all latest downloads for V2 and JT Alert ) tried Hamlib first but no ic-7300 in rig list, so changed to omnirig, all looked ok with LOG4OM-V2 / ic-7300 / omnirig, but upon opening WSJTX in USB-Data and click test or enable it changes to RTTY and didn't seem to be any way of stopping it changing I spent most of last week checking and rechecking but with no luck, then Saturday installed new update from JT Alert and bingo it now works just like magic !!
The problem I have now is after making a contact its not saving the contact to my LOG4OM-v2 log book,
I have the new update from JT-Alert where you can choose between V1 and V2, the file location tests ok, and in the settings LOG4OM-v2 IS enabled is there something here I'm missing ??
The only thing I'm not sure about is under UDP connections in LOG4OM-V2 I've not set anything, are you supposed to ??
I read through the manual regarding UDP connections, but still none the wiser as to if I have do anything on that page..
Any suggestions please anyone.. regards Paul G4YBI

Did you read the dedicated section of our user guide devoted to JTAlert/WSJT/JTDX/Log4OM integration?
If you really get stuck install TeamViewer and email me and I will set it up for you

Have you got ADIF polling set in Log4OM or have you got the settings wrong for reporting in WSJT?
