Recording QSO duration

Post by W1BV »

Firstly - very nice program - thanks very much!

Question : I'm looking to record my qso start and end times accurately. If I fill in a call sign and hit enter, the qso is saved with the start and end times matching.

If I lock the start time when beginning a qso and then lock the end time when finished and then hit enter, the qso is logged with the correct start and end times. To begin a new qso I have to unlock the times and re-lock once started (and finished.)

Is there a way around this?

Mike,

Check Configuration / User Preferences: Tic box for "Set QSO Start time when leaving callsign field"

Works quite well.

Thanks for the reply Nolan.

I had that checked but opted to un-check it since I often propagate the call sign field to see if I've already worked someone or where they are and such and don't always actually contact them...so had hoped for another way to accurately set times.
I suppose if/when the developers add a set of start/stop buttons I'll use those, but until then I'll simply use the lock buttons as described above.

Thanks again and very 73!

Thanks again Nolan - I thought leaving the field to start the clock did something else, for some reason...and now see it does what I need it to.

Appreciate the replies!
