Log4OM

The CAT screen reports a SPLIT operation. Can not switch (or click) to change it. VFO A is reported as the TX freq and VFO B is reported as the RX freq. Using Omnirig with the FT-891 radio selected.

Operationally everything seems to work fine. The entries are logged as SPLIT with the VFO B freq being reported on whatever freq it is set to. The radio is NOT operating in SPLIT mode, just to be clear.

Hi, Split Ops is initiated by the RIG itself not by a button in the Log4OM UI. I just tested with my FT-450D and it works as expected.RX VFO A, TX VFO B by pushing the Split button on the Radio.

1.) What is the date stamp on your .ini file for your FT-891 ?
2.) Are you running the latest firmware on your FT-891 ? https://www.yaesu.com/downloadFile.cfm? ... compressed
3.) Is your FT-891 RIG 1 or RIg 2 ?

Hi Roland,

Perhaps I wasn't clear, but the radio is not in Split mode, yet the CAT screen reports it as being in split mode.

Answer to your items:
1. The FT-891 Omnirig .ini file is dated 2018/01/17
2. Confirmed running the latest firmware
3. The rig is rig 1

FYI I experienced no problem with Ver 1 of LOG4OM.

I compared both the FT450.ini and FT891.ini files. Similar structures, but certainly differences in the CAT command structure. To my eye, it appears the Split on and Split off commands in the 891 file is listed correctly per the Yaesu CAT manual.

I am unable to track the use through the log4nm dll's.

So if I understand you correctly as soon as you turn on your TRX and Log4OM controls the Radio, Split mode is indicated in Log4OM but the Radio actually is not in Split Mode ?

Correct.

Can you check these .ini ? Make a copy of the original and place this one to the Omnirig Rig folder ....
Have to send it as RAR so unpack first.
B.t.w .... only a test changing split from original ini File.

I downloaded your modified FT891.ini and copied it to the Omnirig .ini folder.

I am sorry to report it has no effect on the problem

I did a file comparison of the two .ini's. Very clever correction attempt. It should have occurred to me, but alas it certainly did not. Thank you for the effort. Well worth the try.

Hmmm .. it´s like it is. In the past we can give a bit help by changing the .ini file entries
