Re: "Phone" filter showing outside the phone band

Likely FT8 signal. Sometimes show up as "phone".

Re: "Phone" filter showing outside the phone band
I recall having this problem in V1, and yes it was FT8. Terry had explained how to edit individual band files so that FT8 was properly displayed by the "digital" filter. Going to have to search back through my posts. Also how to enter that "expert" mode to edit the files. Certainly not a big deal, but I thought I'd report it just in case it was an undiscovered bug.

Hi Bob,
you don´t need to enter a expert mode. Search for the bandplan file (it´s a .csv) and open/edit it with Notepad++
which is a free editor. Think we have a special bandplan_dxcc291.csv which is the one that you have to change so
bandplans for a special dxcc override a region bandplan.

Re: "Phone" filter showing outside the phone band
Is it a .csv or .xml?
I thought it was an XML file that we needed to edit.

I recall it being an XML file also.
What are the chances that its the same file as V1?
I have V1, "original" and "modified" version. I recall having to play with the numbers a few times. Maybe I can just cut and paste the V1 file?
I had to be modified for each band as I recall.

Re: "Phone" filter showing outside the phone band
Hi Bob,
i don´t have checked for differences so we´ve had to do a lot of test b4 V2 was rolled out,
Easiest way is to copy V1 user bandplan for your DXCC to the bandplan folder of V2. If it
works you find out a great thing ... Some changes in V2 need a complete new setup, others
need to create a new MySql database. If older user.xxx.xxx.xml files are working it was
great. Fact is ... all files starting with user_ are not overwritten by new updates. The problem
is ... if there are changed modes and things like this ... You stay on your modified file except
you delete it.
Only a few things to think about.

Re: "Phone" filter showing outside the phone band
Just in case anyone else needs to make this change, here is the link to my previous conversation. I urge anyone to read this, several times, until you understand it. THIS ONLY APPLIES to DXCC 291 (United States) Tonight I will try this in V2.
