Losing Hamlib Connection

Hello Folks,
I just recently started using Hamlib for CAT instead of OmniRig. I see some benefits to Hamlib over OmniRig, but I am also having a problem. Rigctld.exe starts fine and the frequency shows up very quickly, but after a number of minutes the connection between Log4OMv2 and rigctld.exe seems to be lost. Rigctld.exe continues to run, but the display shows offline. This is going to a Flex 6500 via network. Is there supposed to be a heartbeat or something that isn't happening?
I noticed in another thread that KD0V reported a similar problem in March.
