Log update for WSJT QSO without Omnirig

Hi
I would like the log updated with QSO's from WSJT, however My rig FT767GX, is not supported by Omnirig.
So is the only way to have automatic QSO update is to have the rig control stopped in LOG4OM, but operating in WSJT - will the log update into LOG4OM then work ?
What are the options ?
Thanks
Ray

Hello Ray,

FT-767 maybe not supported but FT-747 and FT-757 are supported. They using the same
CAT protocol. But automatic logging from WSJT-X will work too without CAT. Log4OM
receiving ADIF_Message from WSJT-X and store it to the database. Band will be sent by
WSJT-X but you have to check that you have manually switched WSJT-X to the correct
Band or you have false entries in the database and send fals band information to all the
external services.

Better to use CAT ... ;) ;)

Hi Juergen
Thanks very much for your reply. I thought the 767 used a slightly different
Protocol than the others listed. I will install omnirig and have a go as per the instruction manual.
I will let you know how it goes.
Thanks again

Ray

Hi Juergen
I have tried Omnirig with ft757 and ft747 as the radio but unfortunately it did not work with my FT767, but no worries I will try setting up to look for the the WSJT log info.
Thanks
Ray

Ray,

Since the FT-767GX is covered in the WSJT-X settings, you can do rig control there (you probably already know this). When operating WSJT-X, you don't need to have Log4OM also connected to the rig. The band, frequency and mode are all transferred by WSJT-X or JTAlert. This doesn't help when you are operating other modes, of course, but at least it will work with the situation you mentioned.

Hi Jim
I didn't see your reply until now, apologies for this.
Thanks for the info, I have since found a solution using Hamlib - the problem was the short waiting time for the 767 to react to commands - happily resolved.
Regards and Thanks
Ray
