Log4OM

Hello All!

I am still struggling with a very slow closedown of the application which is very frustrating. The closedown window gets to the following point of starting the backup and then takes 2+ minutes to continue and close. I initially get the messages (bottom up):

Starting backup...
Forced closure will take place within 60 seconds
Waiting pending asynchronous activities...
Scheduler closed
Saving form status...
Shutting down Log4OM application

Then a 2+ minute delay while it undertakes the backup. Then a rapid (bottom up):

Shutdown completed
Unregistering events...
Program configuration saved
Closing windows...
Scheduler saved
User profile closed
Closing user profile
Backup completed

There is ample backup space on the SD card and I have deleted all but the most recent few backups. Log4OM wasn't this slow until I upgraded to V2. Currently running 2.8.0.0. In settings backup rotation is set to 5. 4000 log book entries. No other apps running.

Forgot to update this. I temporarily redirected the backup folder to the laptop hard drive and all was ok. It seems the speed of the SD card I was writing to slowed considerably at some point as the QSO count increased. Anyway, I am now using a much quicker USB drive as my backup target
