Cluster highlight colors

Is there a way to have the cluster highlight colors restricted to the current year? I would like to see what countries I have not worked this year in the cluster window (F8).
It's a bit complex as statistics are calculated over the whole database. That will require another statistical set for the current year and keep them synced.
