Hello,

On E-QSL, you can have a long password with 18 characters for example: you can navigate on the E-QSL website.
But, as soon as your password has strictly more of 14 characters (from 15 characters), it fails to send QSO data to EQSL (via https://www.eqsl.cc/qslcard/importADIF.cfm in background) with the error message:

Code: Select all

Error: No match on eQSL_User/eQSL_Pswd for dat
I have opened an issue on the e-QSL forum: https://www.eqsl.cc/Forums/index.cfm?pa ... picID=3113

Waiting this issue solved, maybe it could be interesting to add a message in the e-QSL setting window to recommand to use a password shorter or equal to 14 characters. It will avoid to some OMs to loose time to search why their logging program fails to send data to e-QSL.

Christophe,

If that is the e-QSL requirement the OM must be logged in or be logging in to the e-QSL APP and that is where the password is set.

Would not the OM have experienced that limitation when setting up the e-QSL login/password at the e-QSL site?

All we do in Log4OM V2 is simply put those login/password parameters into the respective fields for use.

We can't effect a login or password "change" from within Log4OM V2.

I might be missing something however.

Hello KI5IO,

On e-QSL app (in browser mode), you can have a "long" password. My previous password had 18 characters.
But if your password has 15 or more characters, it fails to send QSO data to e-QSL via https://www.eqsl.cc/qslcard/importADIF.cfm
This issue should be solved on the e-QSL side but while waiting to have this issue solved, a Log4OM user can search a long time before understand his password is too long.
It's why my suggestion is to add a warning in Log4OM\e-QSL settings, to inform an e-QSL password with more of 14 characters can cause an issue to upload QSO data to e-QSL, until this issue is solved by e-QSL.
