IC7300 C-IV Transceive turned off

Cannot find previously read item on Log4OM turning off the C-IV Transceive which he and I use to effect band change on a linear.
Can you re-direct please. M5aec Barrie

Omnirig handles the Cat part of things. You have to goto C:\Program Files (x86)\Afreet\OmniRig\Rigs
edit the IC-7300.ini file. comment out (with a semicolon) the lines below [INIT]2 to look like the sample below.

[INIT2]
;Turn CI-V transceive OFF
;Command=FEFE94E0.1A050071.00.FD
;ReplyLength=16
;Validate=FEFE94E01A05007100FD.FEFEE094FBFD

It works fine here now.

Thank you Richard, thats what I was looking for have'nt tried it yet
but I'm sure it will do the job.
( incidentally had a great friend from Spokane, when in Saudi Arabia,
have'nt seen him in 40+ years!)

In Windows 10 at least, at first I could not save the changes. Then I was advised to drag the .ini file onto the desktop, do the edit as described above, and then drag the file back to the original folder. In movements both ways Administrator permission was required, but a button with the familiar
Administrator shield was provided. Now it works! Thanks all concerned, but particularly W7RMS, who spelled out the basics.

You can also use "Run as administrator" to open the editor of your choice without having to move files around.
