How to get 6-digit grids when logging from wsjt-x

Hi,

I have configured LogOM v2 in a way, that every QSO made with wsjt-x is automatically added to LogOM, and that the missing fields (operator name, QTH, DXCC, Zones, etc.) are automatically filled with data from an external source (hamQTH). All works well so far.
However, as wsjt-x usually generates a 4-digit entry about the grid, this field is not automatically updated to the 6-digit (or 8-digit) data from hamQTH. Is there a trick how I can let this happen, too?
(I could delete grid entry in wsjt-x each time, but I don't like to do it that way.)

Log4OM does not overwrite a filled field. Only way to get a 6 digit one is the way to delte
the old grid before you do a new search. Tried to delete the grid in WSJT-X/JTDX before
the data is send but if a user isn´t a HamQTH or hasn´t stored a grid there you will have
a lot entries with empty grid and a distance of 0km.

By the way, i have deleted the double post in the Log4OM V1 part of the forum.

Thanks for your reply, Juergen. But wouldn't that be a nice new feature for Log4OM? Automatically extend incoming 4-digit grids from the selected external souce under the following conditions:
1.) 6-digit (or 8-digit) data available at the external souce.
2.) FIRST 4 DIGITS MATCH (wsjt-x vs. external source).
In case they do not match the 4-digit grid from wsjt-x can/shall be kept.

makes perfectly sense to me.
