Cannot configure cat interface

I've just installed the software on a new laptop. I have my Expert Electronics software installed that controls my Sun SDR2 DX radio. I've created a pair of virtual serial ports using VSPE. However, when I go to Connect > Cat and try opening up the cat interface to enter in my details the box won't open. Any ideas what is going on?

What are you using for CAT connection in Log4OM setup ? Omnirig or Hamlib ? If Omnirig have you setted
up your radio with it´s COM Port in Omnirig and did you run Omnirig as administrator ? CAT can´t connect
directly to your virtual COM ports it needs Omnirig and/or Hamlib. We preferring Omnirig.

Now you mention it, something about admin. I can't remember, how do I run as an administrator?

I'm checking the settings on my other PC and everything looks the same as it does on the laptop. I have OMiRig selected in configuration. But I don't have it selected in the cat section on the radio software. But then again, it's not selected on the radio that does connect to the software

It's okay, I remembered how to "run as an administrator" right click on the desktop icon. However, I still can't get the rig screen to come up so that I can configure the software with my radio.

I just don't understand what is going on. If I open up the logbook on my PC and click on connect and then cat, the cat interface the box opens up immediately and I am able to configure the radio. However, on the laptop no matter what I do I cannot get the cat interface box to open up.

After unziping log4om, re install the software by right clicking on the Log4om.exe install file and selecting 'Run as an administrator'

You don't need to uninstall the existing installation

Make sure you UAC control is set to lowest

Actually, it turned out to be a little bit more straightforward than I had anticipated. I uninstalled, downloaded the latest version and everything is working just fine now. Didn't even have to reinstall my logbook. I'm not sure whether it's got something to do with omnirig. When I reinstall the software I made sure I checked it in the installation. Anyway, it definitely is working now.
