Log40 reset, lost all my settings

Hi Folks,
Somehow Log40M 2 loat all of it's settings and reverted to default today.
I lost all my pre-defined settings.
Managed to re-load the log and that seems ok.

But anyone know why this can happen?
Is there any way to recover my settings?
And is there any way top save my settings in case it happens again?

Ray,

Did you just do an update to v 2.13.0.0 from an earlier release? You did not provide that information in your post.

Regardless there were many table/grid updates and when that happens those changes have to be incorporated and thus the personalized settings have to be reset.

This has been shared on the Forum. Take a look at the link below.

Hi Nolan,
I upgraded a weeks ago and all was well.

But today I was loading SDRuno for my new SDRplay.
Then later when I launched Log40 it was in reset mode, as if it was a new install, asking for my call sign etc. None of the previous settings were preserved. The setup page appeared and everything was default.

I can't be sure SDRuno was responsible it could be related I guess.

Ray,

Check out page 228 of the most recent User Guide. Big label called: Emergencies

Provides steps to take to restore Log4OM after crash or failure.

Ray,

Great to hear that good news. "Stuff" happens and we're all humans (last I checked anyway - ;) ).

Lele has made recovery from hiccups a prime item with Log4OM V2 so such usually works out well.

Just be sure you also keep additional backups as noted in the U.G.. Those additional layers of backups can be life-saving from time to time.

Glad you are using Log4OM V2.
