Strange log link

Post by F6EXV »

Hi all
After the latest update I made of JTAlert (now using v2.50.1), some strange thing happen.
Using L4OM version 2.13.0.0, on Win 10.

One callsign (F6EXV) workes perfectly between JTAlert, JTDX and L4OM.
Now, on my other callsign (F4KMA), QSOs from JTAlert are logged into JTDX log OK, but they are not logged to L4OM.
I have checked that the L4OM logging is enabled, send dx call to L4OM is enabled, and there is a correct port number for the adif message port.
BUT QSOs are not logged to L4OM.

When i check the connection to the log (.../F4KMA.SQLite), the link is correct, but the database shows a last QSO which is not correct (several days ago) and the QSO count is wrong.
How can JTAlert point to the right link, and have a wrong database connected ?

A side question : when doing a backup, is the SQLite database saved as such, or just an adif file and a config file ?

I am puzzled !
Thanks + 73

As this has occurred since your last JTalert update it would indicate a JTAlert issue so check with their forum to see if this has been reported/resolved.

Backups save the ADIF file and the log4OM configuration the SQLite database is saved after each QSO is logged

In JTAlert you select the same sqlite file that is displayed in the bottom right hand corner of the Log4OM window - I.E. your normal Log4OM database.

What JTAlert is doing I cant guess because we dont write that software

Thanks Terry, once more !
Can I change the directory where the database is located ?
Right now, it shows E:\F4KMA.SQLite... For the other callsign, it shows c:\Users\Utilisateur\OneDrive\Bureau\F6EXV\F6EXV.SQLite
Can I put both in the E drive ? Or both in the OneDrive thing ?
If so, how please ?

You created those files and selected the locations when you created the databases .

If you move the files you will need to go to File/open database and select the new location before they can be used in Log4OM

Just the way you would any Windows file by copy or move and paste to the location you want to move the file to.

But as I said, once you have moved a database file Log4OM wont be able to find it if you dont go to File/open database, locate and select the file from its new location and open it.
