Memory usage

I am asking this because it seems excessive but maybe it is normal.

my system is using 704 MB of ram concistantly for Log4OM. as I type this it finally dropped down to 511 MB of ram but it took long enough to create an account and log into this form and post this message.

It might be something I do not need to worry about. My system does have 32 GB of ram but I am using a solid 21 GB of ram idle with Log4OM running, Grid tracker and 3 VNC sessions to my Pi's running other radios.

Thoughts? Is 500+ MB normal?

I kept running out of memory.

I got rid of GridTracker and helped.

I then got rid of Dell's support utilities and I have not had an issue with running out of ram since.

Sometimes Log4OM seems to close on its own. Not sure if it is a crash or not. I have just made a habit of checking on it from time to time.

I use it for logging and I use WSJTX 99.995% of the time using log messages between the applications. so LOG4OM usually sits minimized.

I do bring it up to manage QSL cards.
