Filtering Cluster Spots by LoTW User.

Hello,

Is there a way to display DX cluster spots from LoTW users only?

I use the VE7CC DX Cluster, it does not have a way to filter for that at the cluster level, but it can be done in the CC User program.

I know that when the time is red coloured it means LoTW user.

If this filter option is not available now, could it be added in the future?

Thanks and 73.

Vince,

If you can filter at the CC User level for LOTW only ... give that a go and see how it impacts the feed to L4OM.

If you can filter just for LOTW spots then that is what should be showing up.

Hi,

That's how I have it setup currently. CC User only shows LoTW users, Log4OM shows both LoTW and non-LoTW users.

LoTW user is not filtered at the cluster/node level, hence it displays on Log4OM but not on CC User, since this is a local (my computer) CC User setting/option.

Log4OM shows LoTW users with the spot time red coloured to diferentiate from non-LoTW users, but I would really like the option of filtering out non-LoTW users in Log4OM.

Thanks and 73.

Vince,

Thinking out loud here ... If you set your CC User filtering to pass only LOTW users and lock that to a specific SSID (in CC User) it seems to me that is what would pass to L4OM. Then you have to set your Telnet/Cluster for VE7CC to log into that same SSID.

Remember that SSIDs 1-15 would all be the same filtering. SSIDs of 16 or higher are each different unto themselves.

I have different filters set per SSID and will change those on my L4OM Telnet connection to utilize same.

VE7CC CCUser - Configuration/ports logging program and let Log4OM use the CCUser server to supply the spots - Easy!

Hi,

To the best of my knowledge, the SSID is the same, and I'm not using both (CC User and Log4OM) at the same time.

Just to clarify. There is no VE7CC Cluster command for LoTW user filtering. By that I mean nothing like "SET/DXS" or "SET/FILTER". This option is only available in CC User under SET> Reject All Except LoTW.

The CC User I'm referring to here is the stand alone program installed on a user's PC. I'm using the latest version 3.0269.

Thanks and 73.

Thanks for that, I'll try.

"Easy!"... not sure. I think it would be 'cleaner' and 'easier' to add an option to Log4OM, just like the "Exclude FT(x)".

Vince,

I just toggled the SET> Reject All Except LoTW in my CC User panel and then closed that APP.

I'm logged into VE7CC-1 via Port 23 and now only LOTW users are appearing in my Cluster (F8) tab. Any SSID I choose to use that is under #15 will provide that same selection as they are all common.

I understand your toggle request as noted above and maybe we can add it to the Feature consideration list.

Hi,

Thank you very much for the help.

What you did is what I'm doing. I just checked again to confirm. I'm logged into VE7CC-1 via Port 23, and I still see non-LoTW users in my Cluster (F8) tab.

I must be missing something.

That being said, I hope you will consider adding the toggle request to the feature consideration list.

Vince,

I've added it to the Feature request on our Mantis list.
