Log4OM

I had a problem yesterday where I could not get WSJT to track and display the frequency. I went through all the settings and found that not everything was in Administrator mode. Everything is now in Administrator mode both in settings and in all users everything worked. Today, started the program and Log4OM will not connect. I am unable to bring up CAT interface. Both WSJT and Grid Tracker will track the frequencies and will key the radio. They work as they should. I cannot get Log4OM for connect. Any suggestions?

What you are using for CAT connection ? Omnirig or Hamlib ? Omnirig ist the only one which can
handle multithreading to more than one Software but all must be run in administrator mode.
Means in your case that Omnirig, WSJT-X and Log4OM must run as administrator.

If you use Hamlib it can only handle one software and if a second software try to connect to
CAT it won´t work. "Offline" means that no CAT connection is active.

Have you set in the Log4OM configuration Autostart for Omnirig or Hamlib ?

I got everything to work but I don't understand why. Just to restate the problem, if just the radio and Log4OM were connected they would communicate with each other. If I added WSJT to the mix Log4OM would go off line and WSJT would decode and key the radio. I had the radio and every program in administrator mode because I am using OmniRig.

I ended up going back into the computer and turned off the administrator modes on each program. I tried different combinations until all the programs were back in Administrator mode while turning on and off the programs and computer. I really don't understand why it worked, didn't work and is now working.

It's working for the moment so all is good.
