MariaDB and Synology NAS
Posted: 12 Dec 2021, 16:35
Hello All
I'm not able to setup MariaDB on my Syonlogy NAS as I would like in order to use it with Log4OM v2.18
I installed MariaDB 10 on my Synology NAS and created via SSH (putty) a new DB-User and with the tool HeidiSQL I'm able to connect MariaDB.
But if I try to connect my new MariaDB with the Log4om Configurator, I'm not able to make a connection, because I have no clue how to create a new databse in MariaDB in order to use this DB as the new MySQL logfile with Log4OM v2.18
Please help where I can find a step-by-step Quide.
The description about to use MySQL in the orignal Log4om manual was not really a help !!!
