Local file as callsign info provider

Hi all,

is there any option to set local file as callsign info provider (to resolve callsign to at least name and potentially other information)? If it exists, is it possible to be resolved before QRZ.COM or other info providers are called (faster, more reliable with no internet ...)?

For example, when I enter S57VV I would like to at least find name "Primož" and put it into operator name w/o using of internet. I would like to maintain such file by myself locally (or even better, automatically filled from the name on first QSO).

I've got the idea at VK port-a-log and I am looking whether it exists also within Log4OM.

Hi Primoz -

I would also like to see this feature added. Just looking at previous log entries and using names/notes/etc. from those entries would be great.

I have stated many times on this forum that retrieving the name and comments field data is already on our mantis list of things to do

I believe I've read every new post on this board since I started using Log4OM several months ago and haven't seen even one of your numerous replies Terry, so sorry.

Perhaps you could post this mantis list in the "News" category so that we wouldn't be beating this (apparently) sick horse.

Thank you for the information. I've searched the forum for names.txt, names.csv ... but not the retrieving ... so sorry for disturbance.
