LOTW uploads

Just installed v 2.0 and find it to be an outstanding application. It is very feature rich and I hope to learn and use each of them. I have been able to configure it to record QSOs and communicate with QRZ.com etc. Unfortunately I have been having trouble understanding how to configure and use the LOTW upload feature. I have read the pertinent part(s) of the manual and understand that the upload process normally occurs upon exiting the application. As best I can determine I have configured everything correctly but when I exit the program it hangs. The program states it is uploading to LOTW, there is a 120 second delay and that the program is closing. The program will hang and doesn’t upload anything and I have to exit the application by using the task manager. This problem seems to be related to how I answer the “requested” and “no” drop down boxes as when I use NO the program closes but uploads nothing. I would appreciate any help that someone can offer. 73

Version 2.19.0.0. After installation I imported an ADIF file. I noticed that all of the entries had the sent field marked as requested. I don’t want these 2K entries uploaded again anywhere. If that is the problem is there an easy way to edit the field in the application?

I am not able to find any video tutorials?? I managed to change the LOTW “send” fields to “No” through QSL manager. I was able to upload a single QSO but the application continues to lock up on exit. For some reason I am just not fully understanding how this QSL process should be configured or used.

Bob,

Here is the link to the YouTube Videos that Terry has created. There are 3 Y/T's for "Confirmations". Very key to watch. Also carve out time to watch them all. Heck, you might even pick up a bit of Terry's accent. ;)

Just in case:

Here is the link to the "current" User Guide PDF. Save and refer as needed. It is searchable and Terry updates it often so wise to force d/l from within L4OM V2 now and the.

Here is the link to the "current" Quick Start Guide PDF. Good source for refresh review.

BTW - Welcome to L4OM V2.

Another item you need to check is to make sure that you have the most current version of TQSL installed on your PC. Current TQSL is: v2.5.9 and Configuration Data v11.18

Nolan, thanks for the reply. When I click on your link for 3 videos I only find one for confirmations #3. I have configured everything noted in that video. One thing not made clear was the pink area on the right side of the screen with “requested” or “No” What does this mean and how should I answer it. There is a lot of interaction between this and other configuration screens making this hard to understand. I note that every single sent field in my log that I imported is marked as “requested”. I guess I will continue to play with all of this and see if I can make it all work. I really don’t understand why the program hangs when I exit. Is there some kind of log that I can look at to see what is or is not happening? While I don’t think it’s an issue, I am using Windows 11.

Bob,

All the videos that Terry has produced (and will over time add to) are at the link we both provided. Just scroll (in my browser) to the right.

Regardless here are the URLs to each of the 3 Y/T videos for Confirmations.
