Migration woes

I recently obtained a new faster PC. Both new and old PCs are running W10 pro.
I downloaded a copy of V2 to my new PC and then copied the program configuration from the old PC. I can not get the CAT to run. I can bring up Omnirig through it's icon on V2 but cannot get it to run although Omnirig works fine with WSJT-x. Can anyone steer me in the right direction, please?

I just did a laptop change in my shack over this past weekend as well. Both laptops have W-10 Pro and it was a clean/fresh installation on the 'new to me' laptop. I just followed the guidelines in the current User Guide noted on Page 231.
From your note I'm detecting that you have the basic Log4OM V2 installed and can see all your former settings, log, etc..

You also mentioned that you can see Omnirig via WSJT-x.

All good steps, but correct me if I'm not correctly understanding that.

Did you also do a new/fresh installation of Omnirig and the Rigini files with the new PC? Based on what I noted above I will assume that you have done that as well.

As a first test ... run ONLY Log4OM V2 and your rig. Do NOT run any of the JTxx APPs for this test.

Do you have Omnirig and your rig selected in the Configuration/CAT Interface tab?

Can you connect to your rig from Log4OM V2 via that direct connection say for SSB or CW contacts?

Now ... if that works more basics are just fine and in place.

When using WSJT-x and Log4OM and possibly JTAlert communicating with your rig you need to run all those APPs with Administrative Levels. See Page 14 of the User Guide for information about running APPs at Administrative levels.

Thanks much for your help. It seems that my main problem now is Omnirig. I erased it from my hard drive and then reinstalled it. But I cannot get CAT started on LOG4OMV2.
