Colleagues,

I receive a qsl card from DP1POL from Antarctica. On his qsl card it says WWFF DLFF-0022.
But I can't fill this in, in Award WWFF.

After researching in Award Management I double click on WWFF.
Now I can see which DXCC countries are registered to work the award.
Antarctica is NOT checked.

I try to tick Antarctica and this works.
Now save and reboot.

But after I've done this, Antarctica again doesn't appear in the award program.
However you will find DLFF-0022 in the search function as Antarctica.

I've tried this several times, yes even with the lock closed, but I can't include Antarctica in WWFF.

The dates are also set correctly and the QSO is from January 8, 2022.

I also checked the DLFF website:

It also contains 2 calls for Antarctica with DLFF-0022.

Question is, how do I get Antarctica activated?

the list of countries is, at the end, optimized by the engine.
The reason for not having Antarctica in the list of DXCC is related to the fact that there are NO references bounded to Antarctica.
Moreover, Antarctica is not a "country" for WWFF, as it seems by my investigations, as all references belongs to the country that "own" the control of the specific antarctica land.

DLFF-0022 belongs to Germany, in a "mixed" and strange way of data representation that links the reference in another country to the "owner" of the reference, Germany in that case.

DXCC is reported here as "ANTARCTICA-GERMANY"

DXCC is also NOT reporting dxcc code in the CSV (that could make everything easier) but reports the country with the country prefix (DL), so manual changes would be really complex as we should manually edit all references belonging to Antarctica (or have a list of them to be saved in our override files)

Hi Patrick,

I will check the WWFF award for any entry in the Antarctica and correct them as required. I know that I have done this already before, but most probably missed a few. I will check wwff.co if there is a list of all entries in the Antarctica, this definitely will speed this up a lot. I will update this thread when done.

Hi Patrick,

I have updated all the Antarctica entries in the WWFF list. I hope that they are correct now (Germany, Chile, US, India, Australia, Ukraine, Multinational, ...).

Due to the high number of WWFF entries, this is an automatic update, so most probably this only will work until the next update. We have to verify if there will be another way to assign all the Antarctica entries correct.

For now, please update the WWFF award and everything should be fine.
