LoTW upload not working

Post by EI2GLB »

Hi All

I have noticed that over the last few days on closing Log4OM that the LoTW upload was not completing, when I reopened the program the last QSO's were still showing as LOTW Sent = Requested and not Yes,

I exported the QSO's and could manually upload them using TQSL,

I updated to the latest version of TQSL 2.6.5 and updated Log4OM to 2.24.0.0 and it is still the same,

There is no issue with my LoTW account my cert is in date and my password has not changed,

If I select some QSO's to upload in the box I get

INFO: ADIF File created successfully.
INFO: TQSL Version 2.6.5
No private TQSL Password set
Executing TQSL with upload

It gives no error's and does not time out??

Any ideas, I know LoTW has been a big flakey since CQ WW CW but as I said I can manually upload to it,

Thanks
Trevor

Are you using a WSJT type program and did the QSO's originate there?

Hi Terry

Yes I use JTDX and 99% of my QSO's are FT8 these days,

Just to note I left it sitting on the upload screen as per the picture posted in the Italian section here and when I checked LOTW the QSO were there this morning, but they are still showing as requested and there was no update in the window saying upload complete,

Also I notice that when closing the program the pop up window seems to have different text than normal,

I will try to get a picture of it, it's mainly forcing close in 50sec ect,

Thanks
Trevor

Trevor,

Check the settings in your WSJT program as we have often found that those programs often mark the sent status as requested when the QSO is saved which results in what you are experiencing.

Do a search of the forum on 'Requested' I am fairly sure you will find a few previous posts about this

But it has been working ok for months if not years and suddenly 2 or 3 days ago on closing Log4OM isn't doing what it usually does, I don't think that is JTDX's fault,

There is a bug somewhere between LoTW and Log4OM

Thanks

Well, it seems to be working for most other users and I can't find an issue! did you recently update WSJT? anyhow its surely worth checking WSJT for the time it takes?

Perhaps also check your settings in Log4OM?

I don't use WSJT I use JTDX and no I have not updated it in months,

The issue isn't that it see's no QSO to upload to LOTW it's that the QSO's it see's to upload it can not,

I have the option ticked in setting to consider requested QSO's to be uploaded to LoTW and like I said I have changed nothing on my end??

It knows there is 60 odd QSO's that need to be sent to LoTW but it just doesn't send them, and it doesn't give me any error as to why,

Thanks

So I did a test, I marked the 60 QSO's as LOTW Sent = N and changed the Setting option to consider QSO's for upload to N and when I closed the program it has hung up on this screen for the last 5 mins

Now when I had it set as normal the closing box looked like this which it never had before,
