New to Log4OM - A little assistance needed

Migrated my log from MacloggerDX to a windows platform. The ol' macbook had performance issues when I was running logging, ft8 and the rest. A friend suggested Log4OM, and it didnt disappoint. Just have one issue that I can't get resolved.
Rig is a TS-890. I am aslo running WSJT-X and JTAlert.
I csant for the life of me get the CAT to work to/from the 890, and at the same time keep WSJT / JTAlert connected. I always have to disconnect the CAT in log and keep it offline for ft8 to work.

I am using USB / Com4 between the 890 and the log, and works flawlessly as long as I keep the ft8 apps out of the picture. Has anyone else got this to work reliably? If so, I would love to hear how it needs to be tied together.

Tor,

What version of Log4OM are you using? Most current release is: v2.25.0.0

Which CAT APP are you using with your WSJT / JTAlert APPs?

Your answers are in the latest User Guide (dated: 1208-2022_239PM). Go to Page 211. Follow the information and you will be good to go.

I am using Omnirig for CAT.
The log version is 2.25.
I will take a look at the manual, and see what I can figure out.

I should add that the CAT is working fine between the 890 and the logger once I shut down the FT8 Apps, and vica versa. If I disconnect the CAT in the logger, the FT8 apps work.

Thanks,

Ok, so now I got the rig and wsjt online, and working. but, whenever I transmit now, the rig jumps to FSK mode. I am sure its a simple setting somewhere, just cant find it......

The only thing that I would like to get rid of, is that every time I key up, and every time I go back to receive, using WSJT-X / JTAlert, a "force" usb signal is sent to the rig. not sure where it is coming from, WSJT or JTAlert, but really not needed, since I already am on USB to start with. Not sure if anyone else have seen this.

Yep. I had to switch to USB from pkt in radio tab. All good. Works flawlessly.

Thanks,
