Version 2.26.0.0 Question - Remote Control Interface

Does the rewrite of the remote control interface in version 2.26.0.0 directly impact communications with JTAlert, FL Digi etc? Is there any reconfiguration required after updating from version 2.25.0.0? I may not be completely understanding the release note.
