Windows 10 permissions required

Hi,
I've read a similar topic and the documentation: it seems the log4om should run with normal user privileges as is the best security practice. The documentation also claims on page 14 that unless the omnirig is needed, "run as admin" is not required.
However, trying to run it without admin privileges on my Windows 10 failed.
Windows OS build 19045.2486
Log4om: 2.26.0
The installation directory is NOT the "default" directory.
I tried to install it without the admin privileges and, due to the failure I installed it with the admin privileges, but then ran it without -- in both cases I have received the same error message: If I start a second instance of the log4om I can actually get over the error message (I can click on OK) to see the empty main screen
So, am I doing something wrong OR is the documentation wrong in saying that log4om can run without the admin privileges?
Thanks
